Finger Buns

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons yeast

  • 1/8 cup sugar

  • 3/4 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • 1 egg egg

  • 2 cups plain flour

  • 1/2 cup sultanas

  • 1/2 cup icing sugar

  • 1/2 tblsp butter

  • 1/2 tblsp milk

  • 1/2 cup coconut

Directions

  • Combine yeast, sugar and warm milk in a small bowl. Stand in a warm place for 10 minutes or until frothy.

  • Add melted butter, lightly beaten egg and plain flour and mix.

  • Mix in sultanas.

  • Knead dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic.

  • Roll into 6 equal pieces.

  • Leave in warm oven for 45 minutes to rise.

  • Preheat oven to 200°C.

  • Bake buns for 13 minutes.

  • Make icing by mixing icing sugar and melted butter and milk. Add food colouring and coconut.
